Special Prayer Intentions for Today

Today, I am praying for the following special intentions:

For the Holy Father's intentions for May.

For Bob, who has bone cancer and is starting a very aggressive treatment at Loyola Medical Center. For peace and strength for his wife Nancy and his family, too.

For John, who was recently diagnosed with cancer with Stage 4 lung cancer and is also starting on chemotherapy. I am also praying for peace and strength for his wife Joan and for his family.

For the four seminarians who will be ordained in our diocese this weekend.

That all people will show by their actions that they have a deep reverence and respect for human life.

For Phill Kline, who is battling with Planned Parenthood in KS.

For the conversion of all abortionists.

For the conversion all Catholics - in - name only politicians, especially California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) and Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius (D).

For world peace and an end to terrorism.

For the 2008 Presidential elections.

For the poor, the homeless, the hungry, and the unemployed.

For all the special intentions at One Came Back.

For all previous prayer intentions mentioned here.

I am thanking the Lord for the following answered prayers:

Dale has been released from the hospital.

MaryAnn has been cancer-free for five years now.

For a relaxing and peaceful weekend.

The 50 seminarians we have in our diocese.

The growth in our diocese, which is resulting in an expansion -- the building of a new parish.
